Magnolia 'Agathe'( sel. Stevinou FR)
cross between Susanna van veen and Vulcan. Almost red flowers.The tree has a fairly fastigiated growth. lowering seems to me quite early, but probably not as early as some forms of M. campbellii and M. sargentiana var. robusta, but much more than Jury hybrids, for example.The flower is smaller than those of the forms of M. campbellii, but of good substance.
